Healthy Skincare Tips!
People ask me about my skincare routine, how old I am, what are my skincare tips and the answers are coming! First, I’ll start with a few tips here; then, in a few weeks, I’ll encourage you all to join me on my TikTok page for skincare tutorials and Q&As https://www.tiktok.com/@dezdmc?_t=8ZLGWbccSg2&_r=1
My Skincare Tips for Young-Looking Skin!
- Use the correct cleanser for your skin needs. Skin needs can vary from season to season; you may be a dry skin babe, yet in the summer, your skin may be more regular; the same is true for oily skin beauties in the winter. Oily skin gals may notice more dryness or normalcy in the winter, so switch it up!
- Don’t use too many products on your skin! Layering on multiple skincare products all at once is a big no-no. It can be harsh on the skin, resulting in more breakouts and clogged pores. You need a few steps: cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer! Additionally, steps such as lip balms, neck creams, essence, ampoules, night masks, etc., should be used as needed not daily.
- Hydrate your skin from the inside out! A lack of water means less radiance and more sag! The more water you drink, around eight glasses of water a day, the more hydrated your skin but it does not stop there; you need to eat a diet for correct hydration! Veg and fruits such as broccoli, celery, bell peppers, strawberries, oranges, pineapples, melons, and peaches.
- Maintain a healthy diet. Your skin has a natural barrier to retain moisture, and essential to that is omega-3 fatty acid. Flax seeds on your salad or even walnuts will be an instant boost to your omega-3, thus increasing your skin's ability to hold onto moisture. Eat a diet low in foods with a high glycemic index, like simple and complex carbohydrates. Low GI : Green vegetables, most fruits, raw carrots, kidney beans, chickpeas, and lentils. Medium GI : Sweet corn, bananas, raw pineapple, raisins, cherries, oat breakfast cereals, and multigrain, whole-grain wheat or rye bread. High GI : White rice, white bread, and potatoes.
