Skincare Tips For Melanated Skin!

​ Hey, Beauties; in light of Black History Month, I want to share skincare tips for all my melanin sisters of all ethnicities African, African-American, Hispanic, White, Indian, Indigenous, and every woman!     We all have melanin in our skin; people with albinism have white hair, pale skin, and blue eyes and thus no melanin. So what skin concerns does melanated skin have that are different than other skin colors? The differences in melanated skin gives a unique set of skincare concerns. Issues that are different in melanated skin are: Ashy skin- this occurs because of how dry skin looks as light passes through it over melanin pigment. The light reflection gives a grey-ashy look; however, on lighter skin, it’s less visible. Sagging skin- darker skin is more likely to sag than wrinkle.
