SKINCARE: Switch your facial cleanser. Keeping your skin moisturized and hydrated starts with cleansing. Unless your skin is oily, it's an excellent idea to shelf your foaming cleaners and switch to a more emollient formula: gel, cream, milk, oil, or even a cleansing balm.

Use a richer moisturizer, facial oil, essence, and serum for maximum moisturizing and hydration. If you are an oily skin type, continue using your gel moisturizers, BHA serums, dark spots, and/or acne treatments.

Sunscreen is a must, 365 days a year.

We crave rich foods this time of year, but too much of a good thing can show up as clogged pores and breakouts.

Skimping on sleep results in puffy eyes, dark circles, and ashy complexions - not a great look.

BODYCARE: Bathe in milk to enjoy the skin-nourishing benefits of lactic acid and natural fats. Just add skim milk to lukewarm water to soften your skin.

Dry skin is a crucial indicator of dehydration, so it's best to get your H20 on before you crave it. Drink plenty of water!

Seal moisture by applying body lotion as soon as you step out of the shower.

Delicately dry brush once a week with a small, soft boar-bristle brush, which clears dead skin naturally.

Limit your alcohol and caffeine intake to keep your body from dehydrating, which can show on your skin.

MAKEUP: Use cream blush instead of powder blush, as the latter can make your face look cakey in the winter.

Wear eyeshadows in satin and shimmering colors, as mattes can make dry skin more prominent.

Wear waterproof mascara and eyeliner so your makeup won't run when your eyes start to water due to cold winds.

Wear a shade of red lipstick that is right for your skin tone to keep your complexion from looking completely washed out.

Use an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup instead of your regular makeup remover or makeup wipes.

When not wearing lipstick or lipgloss, wear a moisturizing lip balm.
